Illinois Education Grant

Illinois University is a public research university in the State of Illinois, United States and is the oldest and largest campus in the university of Illinois system. It is a reputed institution and students from all countries around the globe, feel a sense of pride in being a part of this university.

The reasons for this are many and the institution caters to the needs of all strata of students, including those who make use of the grants offered by Illinois. It would suffice for the student to apply through FAFSA, which is the free application for federal student aid.

Federal Pell grant is also awarded to undergraduate students of Illinois who are in exceptional financial need and Pell grant is the basis to which other aid programs of Illinois are added. In addition, Illinois offers Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants called FSEOG for undergraduate students in a degree program and priority is given to those who receive federal Pell grant.

One of the university’s major sources of funds is the state MAP grant which can be utilized only for tuition and fees. For freshmen, there are other grants like the federal academic competitiveness grants, national SMART grant for junior and senior students, and the federal teacher education assistance for college and higher education grant program for those committed to teaching and so on. It is left to the needy to make use of one of the grants offered by Illinois University.
