Any student who has finished schooling, naturally, aims to step into college but the costs of college education looms large in front for those who find it hard to afford. But, there is, fortunately, a way out of this crisis that comes in the form of education assistance grants offered to students by the universities.
Basically, there are three types of financial educational assistance, namely, university scholarships, federal Pell grants and loans, the popularity being in that order. Among many scholarships offered by universities ad colleges, some of them are based on merits or grade points of students and others are sponsored by big companies who use competition of some kind to offer scholarships or grants to students. Some of the companies may also offer grants for their employees’ children.

Federal Pell grants are based on the family’s income and as such, the students have to qualify based on such criteria. Federal Pell grants help the student complete schooling without any break and lastly, there are loans but it is not free money and has to be paid back.
Educational assistance grants really help not only the students but also their family and the nation as a whole, since educated students are a great asset to the progress of the nation.
